Food Well Alliance is thrilled to announce our 2019 Grantee Cohort includes five farmers and seven non-profit organizations who will be supported through a total investment of $150,000. The 12 organizations work in 10 cities across metro Atlanta’s five most populous counties. These grant recipients are farmers, educators, community builders and our city's greatest environmental stewards — 75% are women and leaders of color. They work hard to make a living nourishing Atlanta's communities.

Through the 2019 Local Food Grant, we are directly investing in community farmers and their growing spaces by supporting items like farm infrastructure, supplies, materials, labor, and professional services to scale the viability of their enterprise. The 2019 Community Food Grant recipients are working directly with nearby gardens and farms to increase knowledge and use of locally grown food in low-access communities of metro Atlanta.
