Join Astro Fain Community Garden as we celebrate the 2024 Great Southeast Pollinator Census! Food Well Alliance has coordinated with community gardens around metro Atlanta where you can complete a count and learn more about our local pollinators!

This is a drop-in counting opportunity hosted by Astro Fain Community Garden where you can come anytime between 9 - 11 am on August 23 to complete your your count for the pollinator census. Participating in the census is simple and can be completed in 15 minutes!

Created by the University of Georgia, this census project is designed to increase entomological literacy among communities and provide useful data about pollinator populations.

The creation of Food Well Alliance was made possible through funding from the founding benefactor, the James M. Cox Foundation, and through the vision of Jim Kennedy, chair of Cox Enterprises, and Bill Bolling, founder of the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Together, they saw an opportunity to build healthier communities across metro Atlanta by supporting and connecting members of our local food movement. Today, we support more than 300 community gardens, urban farms and orchards in the Atlanta region.
