Chicks in the City Symposium

Spend an exciting and educational day learning about raising chickens. This year, the Chicks in the City Symposium is presented as a partnered event by The Wylde Center and the Atlanta History Center on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 9:30am to 5:00pm.

Itinerary includes an introduction to The Atlanta History Center's own husbandry in regards to chickens, lecture/workshops for beginning and advanced chicken keepers, poultry-related exhibitions and vendor offerings, a Virtual Coop Tour, Chicken Health and Wellness Panel, update sessions on Poultry Owner Support and Avian Influenza, and Biosecurity demonstrations. 

Admission to the Atlanta History Center is included with your full Symposium ticket. 

The day concludes with the Grand Finale - drinks mixer with light hors d'oeuvres, Silent Auction, Easter Egg Hunt, and entertaining demonstrations by costumed Atlanta History Center staff and volunteers.
