Used by generations of farmers, cover crops can improve soil fertility, increase organic matter and reduce soil compaction. Join Food Well Alliance and the Atlanta Botanical Garden to learn how to adapt a selection of plants & techniques to benefit all types of growing spaces, promote soil health and prepare for a vibrant growing season.
In this special Plant. Eat. Repeat. Workshop, we’ll wrap with a cooking demo featuring healthy fall cuisine and have information from our friends at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network on health equity for cancer prevention.
Getting to the Garden:
The Astro-Fain Community Garden is located on the property of the Fredrick Douglass 9th Grade STEAM Academy. The main building for the school is located at 101 Hemphill, but the garden is just around the corner on Hemphill and Delmar Lane NW. You'll find an unpaved area to park in and someone will be there to direct you when you arrive.
