Earth Day Volunteering at Blue Heron Nature Preserve

In partnership with Blue Heron Nature Preserve, Park Pride welcomes you to join us in helping to restore the stream banks of Nancy Creek! 

Volunteer efforts will support projects which include:

  • light invasive clearing along the banks,
  • clearing ivy from adjacent trees,
  • planting 100s and 100s of live stake willow and elderberry plants,
  • and other beautification projects that support this wonderful effort!

There’s a lot of work to be done! To keep the energy up, volunteers will be treated to complimentary snacks, courtesy of Whole Foods.

After the completion of the project, volunteers are invited to stick around and enjoy other Earth Day activities organized by Blue Heron Nature Preserve including a plant sale, educational walks and other family friendly activities.
