Discover native plants and ecosystems, and learn how to nurture and protect native wildlife in greenspaces and your backyard with Tea Povolny of EcoLogic.
There is no cost to the nature walk, but space is limited and registration is required.
Following the walk, the Intown Atlanta Chapter of the Georgia Native Plant Society, Food Well Alliance, and Legacy Decatur will be hosting a Pollinator Picnic on the South Lawn of Legacy Park from 10 am to 12 pm, featuring food carts, vendors, and door prizes. We will be providing information about participating in the Great Southeast Pollinator Census while we celebrate pollinators and plants. Bring a picnic or purchase food on site, and enjoy a fun and educational morning! Registration are not required for the picnic.
The Great Southeast Pollinator Census is a citizen science project created by the University of Georgia. This project is designed for everyone to participate and make a difference for pollinator conservation! Visit gsepc.org to learn more.
