On May 22, join WWG in Historic Fourth Ward Park for a Sunday afternoon picnic benefitting Wholesome Wave Georgia. Picnic baskets will be provided by some of Atlantas favorite chefs, including Steven Satterfield, Terry Koval, and Todd Ginsberg. Picnic guests will grab a blanket and basket to share with friends, and dine al fresco, while enjoying beer and wine, live music, dancing, and games. Tickets are $20 for an individual or $35 for a couple.
Wholesome Wave Georgia (WWG) believes that all Georgians should have access to wholesome, locally-grown food. By doubling each federal nutrition assistance (SNAP aka Food Stamps, WIC and Senior FMNP) dollar spent at our sustainable, producer-only farmers markets, we increase access to good food while supporting sustainable farmers and contributing to the local food economy.
WWG has grown from three partner markets in 2009 to a network of 45 markets and direct-marketing farms in 2016. We are located in 25 cities throughout the state, stretching from Metro Atlanta to Valdosta, from Pine Mountain to Augusta.
Picnic In The Park is made possible by the generous support of the Arby's Foundation. Their vision is to ensure that all children in America have access to wholesome food every day. They believe a child's potential for success begins with a meal, and together we can ensure every child has the food they need to succeed.http://www.arbysfoundation.org/
