Metro Atlanta Urban Farm (MAUF) sits on a beautiful five-acre tract of land in the heart of College Park, Georgia, in Metropolitan Atlanta. A certified, naturally grown farm, MAUF serves as an educational nucleus, containing community gardens, a food distribution center and a meeting place for volunteers and community residents who are captivated by the lure of fresh, healthy produce. A long-serving member of ACGA, Metro Atlanta Urban Farm presents a magical, stress-free Saturday evening event. Taste of the South will feature the very best iconic, mouth-watering southern cuisine. Guests will join in with nature, dancing and dining under the stars, while they enjoy a special evening of fun, live jazz and entertainment.
Volunteers are needed from 6pm-11:30pm, and may help
- Greet event attendees
- Direct parking
- Assist vendors
- Help manage trash/recycling
- Help with breakdown/clean up at end of event
Dress Code: Clean, comfortable clothing – business casual. Close-toed shoes. You will likely be standing most of the event.
Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray if desired.
Water and snacks will be provided.
PLEASE, ONLY SIGN UP FOR THIS SHIFT IF YOU ARE WILLING TO STAY UNTIL 11:30 TO HELP WITH TAKEDOWN. If you are looking for a shorter shift, we would greatly appreciate your assistance with setup in the morning! Thank you!
Also, please note - volunteers will not be expected to work the entire 5.5 hours shift. We will allow for breaks for you to enjoy the festivities as well.
