Mechanical Assistance

There are times when a farmer needs help from a tractor to accomplish necessary tasks: clearing an area of their farm for production, performing light grading or land work to address drainage and other soil issues, or moving piles of wood chips, mulch or compost. Experienced and quality tractor work can be expensive!

To help farmers in their efforts to grow healthy, local food, Food Well Alliance offers mechanical assistance to metro Atlanta farms through Chris Theal, Small Farmer at Large. This resource is intended to support farmers that need a workday of tractor assistance performed at their farm to meet key deadlines during growing season or accomplish a farm project.
