Georgia Agribusiness Council Accepting Classroom Grant Applications Until October 14

The Georgia Agribusiness Council’s Dr. Joe B. Crane Classroom Grant Program seeks to award funds to educators who provide thought provoking lesson plans that promote agricultural learning in the classroom. Educators from all grades and all schools in Georgia, both public and private, are eligible to receive these grants.
A total of 56 projects have now been funded through this classroom grant program since its inception in 2000. Last year’s recipients and project titles included:
- Metter High School, Hydroponics-Industry and Home Use
- Pepperell High School, Teaching Future Ag Dragons
- Pooler Elementary, Seeds of Opportunity
- Taylor County High School, Vermiculture as Alternative Agriculture
