Graduates from the Georgia Institute of Technology who respectively serve in the National Guard and Navy Reserve, brothers Reggie and Roger Ramos started Grow with the Flow, LLC in 2014 to provide local and naturally grown produce for residents of Tucker, GA. How? The Grow Bros convert homeowners’ unused lawn space into productive market gardens.

Their goal is to demonstrate a sustainable business model to benefit communities and provide local urban farming employment, while collaborating with other local businesses and organizations that have similar missions, such as the Tucker Orchard Guild. Long term, they’d like to expand by partnering with farmers in others areas to turn more lawns into gardens.

Grow With The Flow received a Local Food Grant in 2017 to bring some important farm infrastructure components and supplies, like organic compost, expanded irrigation, a wash station, and post-harvest handling equipment, into their operation for more consistent production of local food for market customers. Reggie was also a Food Innovation Fellow last year, and Grow with the Flow has been exploring the type of needs specific to their model of managing multiple farm sites.

“Our hope for the future is to see more community farmers in our area with the option for us to provide beginning farmers with support and an affordable unit that has all the necessary tools/infrastructure to be sustainable,” said Reggie.

You can buy their produce at the Tucker Farmers Market, Lilburn Farmers Markets, Norcross Community Market, Dunwoody Farmers Market, Kennesaw State University Farmers Market,  Nature's Garden Express, Forerunner Foods, through PeachDish meal kit service, and at various restaurants in Atlanta.
