POSITION

The Design & Communications Associate will play a key role in strengthening WWG’s organizational capacity and report to the Executive Director (ED). The successful candidate will excel and thrive as a team player in a collaborative, energetic and program-focused non-profit environment. S/he will have an unwavering attention to detail.

This is a tremendous opportunity for a graphic designer to maximize and strengthen the brand of a well-respected, high-impact organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Responsibilities  

  • Design and produce marketing materials to create a cohesive image and message for all print and online communication channels.

  • Oversee and update WWG website.

  • Work with Development Coordinator to produce bi-monthly newsletter.

  • Collect and organize stories and testimonials from program participants and providers.

  • Collect and organize photographs from programs and events.

Other Potential Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage WWG social media accounts: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Blog.

    • Develop Social Media Strategy, with a strong focus on content creation.

    • Manage Market Manager Facebook group.

    • Collaborate with Outreach staff to maintain blog.

  • Create and implement an awareness campaign for WWG’s incentive program.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent graphic design skills.

  • Familiarity Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Squarespace..

  • Previous communications experience preferred.  

  • Experience with social media strategy preferred.

  • Flexibility to attend occasional evening and/or weekend meetings and/or events.

  • Ability to work effectively with multiple individuals and manage several projects at once.

  • Photography skills a plus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in graphic design/art, marketing, or a related communications field.

  • 1 year of graphic design experience.

  • Marketing, communications, media or public relations experience.

COMPENSATION, TIME AND CLASSIFICATION

  • This position is part-time.

  • 8-12 hours per week.

  • Pay based on qualifications and experience.
