Win 1200 Pounds of Compost for Your Community Garden

Everyone has a chance to pick up organic compost at SoilFest 2016 this year but only a few will get 1200 pounds of it delivered directly to their garden!

Bring your own bucket or bag to Soil Fest this year, and take home rich, nutrient-dense compost to prepare your garden for the fall growing season. As part of the Soil Fest activities, a heaping truck load of compost will be available on site for gardeners to fill up their buckets on a first come first serve basis.

Need more than a bucket of compost? Community gardeners, you can win one cubic yard (that’s 1200 pounds!) of organic compost and have it delivered directly to your garden.

Here’s how:

  • Attend Soil Fest 2016 on August 27, 2016 from 2pm to 6pm

  • Register your garden and complete an on-site survey when you arrive at Soil Fest 2016

  • Give consent to share your garden on the Food Well Alliance interactive garden map

  • Garden must be located in Cobb, Clayton, DeKalb, Fulton, or Gwinnett county

  • Gardeners must be currently growing and composting at their community garden

  • Gardens located in low-access neighborhoods will receive priority

  • Gardeners from the same community garden who complete the survey on-site will increase their chances

Note:

  • Up to three individual gardeners per community garden can win one cubic yard each (based on garden size)

  • Awarded gardeners will be notified in September to coordinate deliveries
