Food Well Alliance is looking for three impact-driven leaders to serve as Compost Design Table Fellows during the paid fellowship. To learn more about the Compost Design Table and application process, we will be holding an in-person information session on Tuesday, May 23, 2017.

Food Well Alliance in partnership with the Center for Civic Innovation developed the Food Innovation Fellowship to equip impact-driven leaders, who have shown the potential to impact our city through food, with the tools they need to be more viable, successful and sustainable as entrepreneurs.

Soil Festival 2017 is just nearly one week away, and we are so excited to have the local food community come out for such a wonderful event raising awareness of the power of healthy soil. From community gardeners, backyard gardeners, school gardeners and urban farmers, this will be a true community event for Atlanta’s growers.

Food Well Alliance’s latest Working Table gathered for its final convening where it made strategic recommendations for ways to systematically advance community-based composting in Metro Atlanta.

From viewing hobby worms to meeting furry animals in a petting zoo, there will be a variety of exhibitors on hand to tell you more about their work and share resources and tools to help you enjoy the successes of gardening. Local food entrepreneurs who received a Local Food Grant from Food Well Alliance in 2016 came together on March 9 to share some of their biggest successes from last year.

Through the 2017 Community Garden Grant, Food Well Alliance is pleased to award a total of $75,000 to support 50 neighborhood leaders and the long-term sustainability of their community gardens.
