Georgia Organics Farm to School will be leading multiple Exploring Edible Education Workshops this spring, including our new 201 Workshop. Workshops are from 8:30am-3:00pm.
The 101 Exploring Edible Education Workshop leads both new and experienced farm to school educators in incorporating farm to school into standards based lessons through participating in model lessons, exploring resources, and strategizing implementation opportunities.
The 201 Exploring Edible Education Workshop focuses more thoroughly on incorporating school gardens and hands on cooking into the classroom, including classroom management principles, basic gardening and school garden management techniques, and engaging community members. Having previously attended the 101 Edible Education is not required but encouraged.
Open to all elementary educators and staff from districts that applied for a 2016 Golden Radish Award. Not sure? Scroll down to "School District" to see if your district is listed.
This workshop is coordinated by Georgia Organics and led by Jenna Mobley, a veteran K-5 public school teacher and farm to school consultant.
