Truly Living Well's Gardening 101 classes offer hands-on instruction that teach fundamental to advanced concepts for growing food where you live. The classes are given the first Saturday of every month at our East Point or Collegetown Farm locations. All classes include instruction and hands on experience, meaning that you will be getting your hands dirty!
Their October class delivers "how to's" for harvesting your fall garden and steps for transitioning into winter conditions. At TLW, they grow all 52 weeks of the year! They will discuss some of our techniques for growing during winter as well as best practices for maintaining crop and soil quality. In addition you can expect some of the following topics:
- How to harvest you fall crops
- Gardening planning and crop rotation
- What to plant during the winter season
- Benefits of weeding, watering, and heavy mulching growing beds
