New partnership in Clarkston helps city become more agriculturally minded - ANF
/Most aren’t usually talking about flourishing gardens in February but the story of one metro Atlanta garden is flourishing year-round — made up of the journeys of refugees who have come to Clarkston from all over the world.
“This is a very diverse community garden. Of the 73 families who grow here, we have 16 different languages. There are also 12 unique places of origin,” said Rajesh Gupta with Friends of Refugees.
The Jolly Avenue Community Garden is a happy place. It is where families grow organic fruits and vegetables. It is where they pass down culture and stories. It is where you see a seed become a living thing.
