Small Fruit & Vegetable Production - Journeyman Farmer Certificate Program

UGA Extension Gwinnett will be hosting the Journeyman Farmer Certificate Program, which is for people who have started a small farm or would like to do so. It consists of two parts. The second part is Small Fruit and Vegetable Production that covers multitude of subjects relating to crop production such as soil health and fertility, cover crops, food safety, seasonality among others. 

On Thursday, March 5th, we will visit the small farm at Gwinnett Technical College that is used in their urban agriculture training program. 

The presentations will given by UGA Specialists from online videos and Extension Agents in person with accompanying textbooks and other materials.

DATES: Thursday, March 5, Friday, March 6, and Saturday, March 7

TIMES: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Friday and 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Saturday

COST: $90 per person. 

Deadline to register is Friday, February 28, 2020!

LOCATION: Gwinnett County Government Annex Building, 2nd floor Conference Room, which is located at 750 South Perry Street, Lawrenceville, GA 30046.
